Hello and thank you for coming to have a look at my new blog, Butterbeans and Breadcrumbs. As some of you will no doubt already know, the title of my blog comes from an episode of 1970's tv gem, Bagpuss. A toy mill (as seen in the background of this blog) is left at the shop and the mice decide that it is a 'Marvellous Mechanical Mouse Mill'. They try to convince Professor Yaffle that it makes chocolate biscuits out of butterbeans and breadcrumbs. Sadly, it was all a trick and they were simply re-using the same chocolate biscuit each time but it was still a magical story.
I've been mulling over writing a blog again for a while now. I used to really enjoy writing my previous blog, The Papercraft Sessions, but stopped after I quit being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. As well as the papercraft I would write about the other crafty bits I was up to, and it's partly those crafty pursuits that I'll be blogging about here. I'm sure there will also be many random posts and, of course, those famous 'Phoebeisms' that I love (bizarre sayings from my 5 year old for those that don't know).
I've been taking some pics of a knitting needle roll I'm making for my Sister for Christmas so I'll be posting those once it's finished. I've also started a colourful crochet blanket and I still have many, many cross stitch projects on the go so there will be lots of bits to show you soon ;)
